Driving with Lunar in San Jose
How much can you earn advertising on your car in San Jose?
In San Jose, CA, drivers on Lunar can earn up to $500 a month. A car carries one sticker per door, up to 4. Earnings are estimates, not guarantees, and depend on the local businesses matched to you.
Is car advertising legit in San Jose?
Legitimate car advertising exists, but the space has scams — the classic red flag is a company that mails you a check and asks you to forward money to an "installer." Real programs never ask you to pay or forward anything. Lunar is free to join, pays monthly via Stripe, and verifies real driving with VIN, photo, and odometer checks.
What do I need to qualify in San Jose?
A personal car 12 years old or newer in good or excellent condition, and you must be 18 or older. Rideshare and delivery drivers are welcome. Sign up, finish the steps in the app, and we look for a nearby San Jose business to offer you.
Do I have to drive extra?
No. Lunar pays for the San Jose driving you already do — commuting, errands, the school run. No shifts, no passengers, no deliveries. The weekly check needs an odometer reading and at least 25 miles (40 km) since the last one.
Which San Jose neighbourhoods does Lunar cover?
Drivers sign up from across San Jose — from Willow Glen to Japantown to SoFA District — and keep driving their normal routes. Local businesses set target areas on a map, and Lunar's team offers matches to drivers whose driving zones overlap them. A match is never guaranteed.
