How much does a billboard cost in 2026? Static, digital and Blip

A static 14' x 48' billboard costs roughly $1,000 to $5,000 per 4 weeks in small and mid-size markets and $5,000 to $15,000 in large metros, according to Billboards America's 2026 guide, for the space alone. Digital boards sold through Blip work differently: you bid on single 8-second plays with no contract, from a daily budget as low as $5 to $20. The big operators (Lamar, Outfront, Clear Channel) quote on request. Lunar publishes this page and is one of the options compared. Prices were checked on November 3, 2026, from the published rate cards and price pages named below.

Digital billboards and Blip

On a traditional digital billboard you share a rotation with other advertisers for a 4-week period, quoted by the operator. Blip sells the same kind of board one play at a time: you set a daily budget and a maximum bid per "blip", an ad play of about 8 seconds, and the price moves with location, time and demand. Blip's own estimate for Burlington, New Jersey shows $20 a day buying about 491 plays and $50 about 1,227, roughly 4 cents a play. There's no contract. Mobile billboard trucks

We found no operator that publishes a truck rate: they quote per campaign, usually by the day. Ask what's included (driver, fuel, route, design) before comparing.

Billboards vs Lunar

A billboard is fixed: it works when the road it faces carries your customers. Lunar's stickers move with local drivers through the areas you choose, and there's nothing to print or install on your side. Lunar puts your business's circle sticker on the doors of local drivers' cars, in the areas you set on a map. Half Moon is $500 a month for 2 cars, and Full Moon is $1,500 a month for 7. The sticker design is made for you and included, with nothing extra for printing or setup. Terms are 3 or 6 months, billed monthly, and a 6-month term is 10% off every month. Apart from the $50 deposit, nothing is charged until your first sticker is on a driver's car; the deposit counts toward your plan, or is refunded if no driver is matched in 7 days. Each sticker carries a QR code that sends people wherever you choose, and Lunar counts the scans.
