Apps that pay you to advertise on your car in 2026: which ones are still running
We checked every company the big lists recommend on November 2, 2026. Several are gone, one was acquired and one now points drivers to another app. Here's who is still signing drivers up.

As of November 2, 2026, the programs still signing up everyday drivers are Lunar, Carvertise, Wrapify (whose iPhone app now says it is part of Firefly), Firefly, Wrapped Media and, around Toronto, Market Your Car. Nickelytics, StickerRide, Mobilads and Stickr no longer have a working driver sign-up site. Lunar publishes this page, and Lunar is one of the apps compared. Everything said about another company below comes from that company's own site or app listing, or a source we name.
Why the popular lists are out of date
Most "get paid to advertise on your car" roundups were last updated between 2022 and mid-2025. Every one we checked still recommends at least one company whose site is now dead, parked or folded into another business. If a list's top pick sends you to a for-sale domain, that's why. We checked each company's own site and app listing on November 2, 2026.

Lunar
Lunar is a car advertising app that puts small circle decals from local businesses on everyday drivers' cars, one per door and at most four. It's free to join, with no fees and no deposit. You install the decal yourself from the instructions in the kit, a person checks your placement photo, and a short weekly check (a photo of each decal and an odometer reading) keeps you paid. Drivers can earn up to $500 a month, paid monthly through Stripe. There's no GPS tracking and no shifts. Your car has to be 12 years old or newer, and you need a valid licence and insurance and to be 18 or older. Rideshare cars are welcome. Lunar's team offers you a local business to carry; you have 48 hours to accept or decline, and declining is free. Lunar is live in cities across the US and Canada, though not in Quebec. See the city list.
Carvertise
Carvertise wraps cars in vinyl for brand campaigns. Its driver page states pay of $100 to $1,500 a month and says most drivers typically make between $450 and $1,500, with extra pay not guaranteed. Certified installers put the wrap on and take it off for free, and Carvertise says it pays up to $200 if removal damages the paint. It asks for a 2015 or newer car without significant body damage, prefers high-frequency drivers such as rideshare and delivery, turns down some models, and needs its app installed with tracking on. Campaigns run 3 to 12 months, and you can accept or decline each brand. Source: carvertise.com/drivers and carvertise.com/for-drivers. Lunar vs Carvertise in detail.
Wrapify (now part of Firefly)
Wrapify's site still recruits drivers and lists wrap levels at 360°, 270° and 180° coverage, with monthly pay ranges from $174 to $452. But version 2.0 of its iPhone app says "Wrapify is now part of Firefly", and we found no announcement explaining what changes for drivers. Offers appear in the app when a campaign runs in your area, and partner installers apply the wrap at no cost. Source: wrapify.com/drive and the Wrapify App Store listing. Lunar vs Wrapify in detail.
Firefly
Firefly puts a rooftop digital screen, a static top or a wrap on cars that already drive for a living. Its driver page says the program is for rideshare, delivery, taxi and courier drivers who drive 40 or more hours a week, tracked for at least 3 weeks, in a 2011 or newer car with factory paint and location sharing set to "always". It says the average driver earns $200 to $300 a month for displays, installed free at a Firefly office. Source: fireflyon.com/drivers. Lunar vs Firefly.
Wrapped Media and Market Your Car (Canada)
Wrapped Media runs wrap campaigns in Canada and the US. Its driver page says it covers design, printing, install and removal, that local installers apply the wrap panel by panel in 1 to 3 hours, and that drivers earn $150 to $600 a month; its driver app is listed as coming soon. Market Your Car wraps cars around the Greater Toronto Area at no cost to the driver and advertises up to $800 a month. Source: wrappedmedia.com/drivers and marketyourcar.com/drivers. Gone, acquired or unconfirmed
- Nickelytics: its site now redirects to Robot.com's advertiser page, with no driver sign-up. St Pete Catalyst reported in 2024 that Robot.com, then Kiwibot, bought it. What happened to Nickelytics.
- StickerRide: its domain redirects to an unrelated blog.
- Mobilads: its domain is listed for sale.
- Stickr: its site did not load on November 2, 2026, and its Better Business Bureau rating is F. FinanceBuzz reported that drivers paid $19 up front for the decal. The sticker apps that shut down.
- Free Car Media: the site is up, but it doesn't list requirements or markets, and sign-up happens on a different domain. We couldn't confirm how it pays drivers.
How to tell a real program from a scam
The US Federal Trade Commission warns about fake car wrap offers promising $600 to $700 a week, often in a famous drink brand's name. The "company" mails you a check and asks you to pay an "installer" from it by money order, payment app, crypto or wire. The check bounces and the money you sent is gone. A real program never sends you a check to forward. How to spot a car advertising scam.
Which one fits you
- You drive rideshare or delivery full time and don't mind a rooftop screen: Firefly.
- You drive a lot, your car is 2015 or newer, and you're fine with a full wrap for months: Carvertise or Wrapify.
- You live around Toronto and want a wrap: Market Your Car or Wrapped Media.
- You want something small on your everyday car, with no wrap, no shifts and no GPS: Lunar.
Frequently asked questions
What apps pay you to advertise on your car in 2026?
As of November 2, 2026: Lunar (door decals, US and Canada), Carvertise (wraps, US), Wrapify (wraps; its app says it is now part of Firefly), Firefly (rooftop screens for full-time rideshare and delivery drivers), Wrapped Media (wraps, Canada and US) and Market Your Car (wraps, Greater Toronto Area).
Is Nickelytics still paying drivers?
Nickelytics' site now redirects to Robot.com's advertiser page, which has no driver sign-up. Robot.com bought Nickelytics in 2024, as reported by St Pete Catalyst.
Which car advertising app doesn't need a wrap?
Lunar uses small circle decals, one per door, that you install yourself. Firefly uses a rooftop screen, but only for full-time rideshare, delivery, taxi and courier drivers. The others listed here use vinyl wraps.
Should I ever pay to join a car advertising program?
None of the active programs above says it charges drivers to join, and a check you're asked to deposit and forward is always a scam, according to the FTC. Lunar is free to join, with no fees and no deposit.
